Protection from termites
Without periodic inspection of your property, termite can remain undetected for years. Some of their signs show up unexpectedly, while others are detected only during renovations.
Concepts Termicare provides comprehensive termite control solutions to all kinds of properties. We offer pre-construction and post construction termite control treatments once after inspection has been conducted by our trained PMP’s.
Pre-construction termite treatment is carried out during different stages of the building in its initial construction phases, while post construction treatments are done after an infestation is identified in a fully operational residential or commercial building. We offer non-invasive and drilling injection methods to help resolve termite damages.
Unlike traditional drilling injection treatments, Concepts non-invasive termite control is based on in-ground baiting system which does not involve damaging the flooring of your property. Termite bait stations are placed in strategic locations outside the building which will be inspected on a routine basis and when termite activity is identified, our PMP’s will suggest the way forward based on the level of infestation and type of location where the activity is found.
Termites are eusocial insects that are economically significant as pests because of the serious damage to buildings, crops or plantation forests. They live in colonies and they use decentralized, self-organized systems of activity guided by swarm intelligence to exploit food sources and environments that could not be available to any single insect acting alone. Termites have known to cause millions of damage to buildings and structure every year.
They primarily feed on wood, but also damage paper, books, cardboards, crops, swimming pool liners and even filtration systems. Termites can injure living trees and shrubs but more often are secondary invaders of woody plants already in decline.
Subterranean termites live in a nest or colony which is typically found underground, often near a tree, stump, wood pile or other source of 'food'. Each colony contains a king and queen, soldier and worker termites. The queen is able to lay thousands of eggs each year while the soldier termites protect the colony from invaders (such as ants). The majority of the colony consists of thousands of whitish workers who have various jobs within the colony. Some workers take care of the queen and the newly hatching immature (sometimes called "larvae"). Other workers forage (search) for food. The foraging workers are the ones that we find infesting wood.
